And I'll answer as Craig did = Maybe with the right nut behind wheel, Just because you have a gazillion hp don't necessarily mean low ET's, there's a whole lot more that comes into play & end of the day to be consistently running in single digits is gunna take a bunch of experience behind the wheel & on the strip... Why not do as most do and run it with your planned combination, with improvements further down the track... Not too many can bolt a drag car together and say I'll run 9.2 et's thank you, without a bunch of test N tune days, And for those that can they'll be running low 7's after some time with same combo... So how much experience have you had piloting a serious drag car, What sort of reaction & 60 foot times can you consistently muster in a similar combination, Not trying to put you down Maz, But Rome wasn't built in a day, And neither was those 9 second time slips... On other hand there's a few websites that have a guesstimate of what could be achievable by punching in your details......

thanks andrew.well ive got stuff all experience at it.i know what your saying andrew as a this is new to me.just trying to go the right way about it to eventually get to this number i want to achieve.im going to need alot of help in this field from experienced people to get there.its allways been my dream to do this.i just hope i am going the right way about it,with a 26 i know it will have traction issues and getting the setup right, the reason ive asked is i have been thinking about changing to a 28" wheel.so i dont have to worry about changing later on .do it once and do it properly,i dont want to change the track diamentions of the car.as if i change the track rearwards it stuffs up the 4 link arms diamentions, atm are 68 1/2 .f@#kwit engineer made them an inch longer because he put the clip in wrong spot.and if i move the housing rearwards it will take them out to 70" when they are suppose to be 66cm ,so it wont hook up properly to how it should.i have the issue with the back door as i want to cut an inch or so out of it and an inch out of the back panel to get it the 28 to fit.just trying to find someone with experience whether the 26 will be enough or go the 28".if i cant get it to get to goal ,i will just have to hand it over to someone else who can.

i will find out what my nephew is running on the back of his for you he had the same problem with a 26 was just wheel standing all the time

It is possible -yes.

Just won't be very consistent at running those times especially with a transbrake on a 26" tyre.

I'd be wanting 28x10 to start with anyway since you doing rear end may as well do it properly.

If you can fit a 28" or 29" under the guards it'll be than trying to get 9s out of a 26". Taller is better than wider.

Could you run a 9 with a 26" tall tyre ? Yes.

Would it be easier, safer and more consistent with a 28" tyre ? Definitely !

As Warren said, the taller the tyre the better.

If you can imagine Maz,

the bigger the diameter of the tyre, the more rubber is on the road ( front to Back ), but I am guessing, you want to get the times with the smallest diameter tyre possible. Dave I

anyhow, the Mass of the wheel and tyre set's play a part too, make sure they are the lightest

that was my intention dave.as i'd seen other cars but lighter running 9s.+ i wasnt quite sure if the 28 would be allowed for reg.

but can soon put the 26 under for that...worse thing its a 4dr .not as easily to tub.engineer wants to stretch the rear quarter

but i want to take some from the door area aswell as the rear qtr.so i keep the same track.and not making the link arms any

longer than what they are.does that make any sense to you
