Hey guys, I am a little stuck with a body colour choice for my hatchback project. It won't be fitted with flares. And will be minitubbed. It also has an LS1 and auto fitted. I am leaning towards black interior as door trims etc are good and are black, and being a mechanic beige or cream type colours aren't really my friend. At this stage my favourite colour is a dark metallic olive green (similar to the original HG colour).

Any suggestions on what would suit? And also should I colour match the B-pillar vents or paint black?

This is not a show car with show panel/paint.

Cheers

The original colour is a lime or mint green. I am not sure it would look very nice without flares and blackouts.

^ that last one is hothouse from the vy commodore range. IMO aged really quickly.

Simon got hit and that hatch is now papaya which is a winner!

I agree, there are a few exceptions but I do prefer seeing cars in original colours.

mate go mint julep and if you paint around the windows black the B pillar cover must be the same or it will look terrible, cheers Aaron.

I'd go with a bright green or an original colour like papaya.

Such a hard decision to make! I need to try find a pic of a bright green without flares to see if it will look ok?

Mint julep or Papaya are very nice original greens especially mint julep with the blackouts but I think you need flares for it to look at its best.

Antelope Metallic actually doesn't look too bad with black paint outs.
