What grade of oil should I use to refill the diff on my 6cyl LJ, as the E.P. SAE90 oil stated in the manual is either no longer available or very difficult to find. Is it also correct that the diff only takes 1.4 litres?

Yep, 1.4 litres. Can't answer which oil is best to use though.

think it's 85W / 90, and Penrite is the going Brand these days hey Ray,

then there is the LSD one too, it will say on the container if it is for LSD. Dave I

Had a search on the Penrite website for diff oil for LJ Torana 6cyl and got this.

GEAR OIL 80W-90
