Hi guys,

i had the front wheel off my LH the other doing some work and happened to notice that the brake line seemed to be fairly long. I was a bit concerned of it perhaps fouling or getting caught. They would probably be about 400mm long, which I noticed from another post shoud be about right. How does it look?

that doesnt look right to me at all, actually it looks quite dangerous.

looks like you have hq discs ( ventilated ) so there has been some kind of brake mods i asume?

If you were to go around a corner and the springs compressed you could potentially squish your brake line, and it looks like its constantly rubbing on your lower swingarm ( not good  )

ive modded one of my cars and my brake line looks like so

Commodore ones are 610mm long
Length isn't the issue here its ok as long as it doesn't foul on anything during turn, bump and droop

Obvisouly I havn't been under there when turning and bumping etc. but yes, that was my fear, that I would catch it and rip it off while driving. Length is alright Datto, but should I be shortening them anyway from a saftey point?

Peace,

I'd only spend the money if the hoses are older than 6 yrs or if they are close to suspension components
If everything is clear and won't foul, rub or pinch on anything I'd just check them for overall condition.
Make sure they have no cracks
And leave them there

If they rub on anything look at ways of making them clear everything first
