. Hey Craig I think he meant 202 plus 186. Equals 388 so they even more rare.regards jeff

I overheard a bloke saying the other day that he had a totally original L35 253ci Torana. Said it was hotter than the L34!!
Thought he was full of BS, but I listened on. He went on to say to his mate that he should read Torana Tough in the dark with a UV light on.
That night it got the better of me, so I went to the local roller skating rink with my book and sat under the UV lights.
Time to get a UV light, very interesting...........

He meant, read it in the dark with the UC headlights on.

Now you have put the cat amongst the pigeons. All the Taxi drivers will want to upgrade with dreams of more passengers, more kids to school, more shopping bags in the back and best of all yet another entry point (yes another door).  ........ LOL ..... Oh the style of the taxi might resemble a brick but it seems to get some people really excited.   :stirpot: :stirpot:

what do you mean the hatchback is a 2 door station wagon promoted for women to shop in and buy a hatch hutch and you have a station wagon

I used to see quite a few in NZ when I was in my teens. We seemed to get lots of poverty models over there.

I am sorry Eyepeeler but you obviously have NO idea when it comes to Toranas.
From Wikipedia.
L35 CPI[edit]
1992 introduced a new version of the 4.3L, the L35. This version of the 4.3L was equipped with CPI (Central Port Fuel Injection).

So it seems that the L35 was actually the super duper ultra pooper rare VL Torana..........and I have always known this.

LOL Laurie, good stuff.
So it seems, learn something new everyday!
Taken from the internet:

The Chevrolet 4.3 L35, also known as the Vortec 4300, was a midsized, 90-degree V-6 engine manufactured by General Motors for use in its trucks, passenger cars and industrial machinery. Introduced in 1992, it was based on the more powerful Chevrolet 5.7L small-block V-8 engine, but provided competitive power-to-weight ratios within its overall smaller design.

Told ya the L35 was a good thing. Being a Chev, LXSS350 will be all over it.

HA ha ha, a V6 created from the 350. It's a Starfire 6. From the even more rarer VL Sunbird. Please let it be 17 of these in a shed.

Listen youngen get your big-boy spade and bog out and get that race taxi smooth, painted and assembled. Then get some bloody laps in so you can dial the old girl in. Between your excessive eating cake and trying to act like your a member of the Leyland Brothers (philip island taxi club) it's little wonder the race taxi has not fired up in anger.

OT:

Plenty of crap made by Chev and GM that I personally wouldn't touch with a barge pole, but their best engines and drivelines are absolutely world class.

Don't mind fresh homemade cake myself. Not to mention Wayne talking pig in the Weber and that got me thinking crackle, some fresh bread rolls, fresh homemade apple sauce and me making a big mess and falling asleep in front of the idiot box. Dinner time.
