Leo was the head honcho for the Holden Design Department and responsible for many things including the LE Monaro. His LE monaro was also fitted with non standard bit. Nice bloke too.
This car also has the pontiac snowflake wheels. Did you notice the kilometers on it?
Cheers

Ask Dangerous about the a9X owned by GMH, I think he's had a good look at that car and may be able to fill you in a little more!

Thanks for clearing that up for everyone, 2600s - I've been on holidays, and haven't checked the forum recently. Wish I did own it thoughThe cars on display are from HTC in Adelaide, Dave has two, the LC XU-1 & The LX SS, an A9X is also in the display which is painted in Jasmine Yellow, the White LC GTR is mine.

The aquarius A9X hatch with the small front spoiler, guard splitters and 1976? 15" Corvette rims is still owned by GMH, and used to be Leo's runabout, as mentioned. It has only done around 1300 km, but seems to have had some rear end damage repairs at some stage in its life. Interior wise and engine bay, it's immaculate and stock. I have heard from Birdwood Museum staff that Holden didn't know what to do with it and they were going to crush it, but it ended up on permanent display at the Birdwood Museum. Lucky, huh?
doucmyuc, I don't think that article is correct. "Leo's A9X" is a road going version, not a race shell, so it's not "one of 35". It's also not the last road going version built - from memory, it was build about mid A9X production run. The pic of the A9X in the article is very small, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was taken at the museum - the GTR-X, which also used to live at Birdwood can be seen in the background.
The darker blue SS hatch on the HTC Club display is mine. Do you think anyone would notice if I just swapped plates, and drove the A9X home????
