G'day guys, we've had some great discussions lately on the various techniques, tools, applications etc on the wonderful world of automotive body repair and I thought I'd point people in the direction of a series of articles the american magazine HOTROD is currently running.

Its a 10 part series in DIY body and paint for the guys at home wanting to give it a go and I think (from what I've read so far) that its going to be a really helpful series.

The series started with issue "MAY 2006" and every month there is a progressive article on the complete process. The issue thats currently here in Australia is JULY 2006 and contains about dent repair and tools which is what we've been talking about here.

Have a squiz when your at the Newsagent next and see for yourself, If people are desperate for the previous articles and can't get a hold of back issues I might try and scan them. No i'm not on HOTROD's payroll but I'd love to be, American magazines are way more informative than Aussie Features in my opinion.

See what ya think :spoton:

^ im all for DIY but if your buying 10 Hot Rod magazines just for articles you may be better off purchasing a complete dedicated book at half the price.

There's usually enough content in the rest of the magazine to justify the $7.95 purchase price, I find it a good read anyway just thought I'd post something I've found to be informative, just trying to help out mate.

There are two Gregory books, one on panel and one on paint for less that $20 each as well. Has all the stuff in it that we did at the TAFE course and a bit more, very comprehensive.
