thanks guy's i've been tossing and turning!i like your thinking Col,i'll put a pic up if i do put them on.

one of my mates gave them to me, because he only wanted the side stripes,i think he got them off someone on this forum(pop's ss) i think.

i'm a bit scared to put them on and not like them and then peeling some paint off with them if i don't like them.

thanks for the replies

yeah, understand mate...but I'd be thinking if you put them on, and worst case pulled them off 24hrs later you should be OK paint wise??

I was always just going to throw some fake / Temporary one on with black eleco tape, just to see....cheap and easy

Just use a hairdryer to heat up the vinyl stripe as you slowly peel it off.

Hi Guys,
Your stripes look good Davis, did you get any air bubbles under your stripes?

I put mine on today aswell, got a fair few bubbles and couldn't get my gtr badge off the boot without breaking it so I cut around it for now and if I like the look I'll paint the stripes on in a few months time.

I took some pics but they're too big to upload, , I'll see what I can do

Looking good mate, yea I had a problem with air bubbles too. I got my mate to help me do the bonnet and I smoothed the stripe as I went, turned out much better then the boot. I was surprised to see a heap of the bubbles disappeared overnight. Cheers

Rob, on another note the full blackout on the rear your car looks good because the stripes blend in to the blackout. What are people's thoughts on the stripes finishing at the bottom of the gtr badge on the boot???

G'day Andrew

Use a very sharp pin on the side of any air bubbles and push with your finger from the other  side

Best done out in the sun

Rally stripes should always IMHO got the full depth of the boot lid

i think that does look better on a car with a yellow backend Andrew, because originally the stripes just stop in the middle of nowhere and the side stripes stop at the badge so i reckeon the boot stripes should too.

yeah Jordan our cars are almost twins
