Hello all, my first post on this great forum. Lots of good info on here which I have been going through but can't yet find what I'm after…..

Can anyone tell me the part number for the bosch voltage regulator that fits onto the alternator of an LJ torana ?? I've just bought my car and that is missing off the back of the alternator….

Cheers everyone who might be able to help me.

The best thing is get the numbers of the alternator, as it may vary depending on alternator, ( 35,45,55 amp) and contact your local Ashdowns , electrical supplier, easy job to fit, try to get the older style rectangle type( old stock) they are better than the newer oval style

Not correct. The RE55 regulator is the external type which mounts on the inner guard.

The one which fits on the back of the alternator is the internal type, Bosch part no. 9190067005.

BTW, to my knowledge this type of Bosch alternator was not fitted as factory to LJs. However, it was commonplace on HJ//HX/HZ/LH/LX/UC etc.

Yeah ya right dr terry, was thinking of an RE 60,the RE 55 was brought out to replace the RE 35 vibrating contact type regulator, you know the ones we used to chuck in the bin by the dozen when the newer electronic one come out, before that we used to clean up the contacts and reset them, wack some yellow tape around them and refit them
