Looking at the prices most people advertise their Torana parts for (AND GET!) is ridiculous now... Even just basic items can cost a fortune.

One cant help but think that selling their Torana on eBay, in parts, would probably generate 5 times more money than selling it whole.

Why can the parts be worth so much, but the value of the entire car is still so low? Im not talking about Highly Modified, or special models, just good clean straight examples. Like these:

White LX
LJ Original
LJ
LHAnother LH

I know theyre not all perfect, and second one has no engine, but they are CHEAP

Its starting to get like that at swap meets too. Its all about supply and demand and who is cashed up/more desperate for the part.
I foud with ebay, bid in the last few minutes rather thanearly on as it just starts a bidding war.
I guess people would rather spend good money for parts they want rather than a few dollars more and then have to get rid of the body etc.
Its all about the age of conveinience for most and you pay for that.
Trading post is still cheaper by far than ebay, but sometimes you get lucky.
The bonus is when you advertise parts on ebay you will also get a good price!

I think it will be awhile before that happens... All the people in the swapmeets are aware of 'ebay prices' so they just ask more for thier parts to begin with... You can still find plenty of bargains at swapmeets.
