wait a bit till our car industry dies..oops it already has, and the import tarrifs will change quiet a lot.. Well so the powers that be say anyways..

Nice car..Ide buy one..but not 180k.... would consider for 60k.. But the fuel cost....wouldnt be a daily.

Import costs on luxury cars wont change, period.

The free tarifs on the junk being imported should be changed to quiet large, that would have saved our car industry, but the powers that be are to ball less to make the move. So cheap rubbish will remain cheap and cool cars will remain unobtainable.....

Hmmm 160k......I dont like veeates or new cars, but frOck i'd come close to convincing myself to buy one....Lots of refinancing going on hehe.

Jay Leno mentions in the vid that it it quite fuel efficient; in comparison to the 1970 version.  There's also a red and black key, the red one for the drag strip and special occasions and the black one you may give to the valet to park your car, etc.

Gotta love the technology.

I was gonna say that these things are going to be the new Tradie favourite but at that price I doubt it!

What a shame they can't do it for 60k or thereabouts.

Buy it for 60k. Bring it in. Pay import duties, which are huge on a new car thats not from a third world country that we love to support.

Then pay someone to totally pull the dash out, the electrics out, the steering colom, the pedals the steering rack, etc, redesign a steering rack, refit and redesign everything to work on the other side (because unlike other countries we dont accept otherside drive cars newer than a certain age becasue we like to support third world car manufacturers) and then pay the engineering fees to get a brand new car certified for road use in our country, which is ludicrously hard unless your a third world car manufacturer in which case anything, regardless if it meets our current standards or not, goes, then see what the total price is.

The asking price is more than reasonable.

In 30 years you could import one and leave it LHD.

I agree, the electronics and the compliance BS would be a nightmare.

Some spend more on custom cars

Yeah all true but it doesn't change the fact that it would be a lot more affordable at 60k

Just because $60 is the MSRP, I would imagine dealers are going to try and gouge for $5k, $10k,  extra like they did with Vipers, etc...

I shipped an SRT8 over recently..didn't really impress me all that much.

And 700hp or not, I imagine on a road course the Z28 would show it a thing or too even. :D
