LC/LJ have slotted track along the door head. I found do the slotted bit first by stretching the rubber (gets smaller in cross section). Do you have original type with the wire, or plastic clips for the rest. If wire, your need to do the reverse, push the rubber together to close up the clip, then pop it in the hole with your thumb.

Shit of a job made worse by the fact that most aftermarket ones are wrong..usually too long. Good luck..swear a lot..it helps...also glue the top window channels in.

Thanks Rory!

I gathered it was a shit of a job.

Is there any lube you can use to slide the rubber into the chanel easier ???

And no I am not trying to be funny!

The aftermarket ones appear too long because the rubber binds in the channel. Try some silicon spray to temporarily lubricate it. If you don't have silicon spray, try working the rubber into the channels and you'll find they fit.

Maybe also purchase a small bag of choice swear words.

1. Cut it off

2. join it to the other ?? if so how ???

Told you didnt I?..I cut 3 " out of the drivers door and 2" out of the passenger side. All the silicone spray in the world will not make up for the the fact that the bloody things...by all reproducers..are too bloody long! They copied each other ones that were wrong!!.. You can then get some glue that melts rubber together and sticks it..I also actually took a needle and thread and sewed them to hold them until the glue took hold.

The Bedfords use plastic tubes to join rubbers that are factory designed & made in multiple pieces. Used with a little rubber cement it wont sag.
