Just came across a heap of my old photos, so thought id show everyone my 1983 Honda Z50R restoration from 10 years ago...Found the bike at a wreckers and thought id have a shot at restoring it, as usual one thing led to another, countless hours and dollars (still cheaper than my LC) and this is what I achieved. The bike still sits pride of place in my shed alongside my Lone O'ranger LC 2door....Cheers

Arent they an awesome little bike. I learnt on something similar, was an old QR50 from memory. It had no clutch and front and rear handbrakes, think it was a 3 speed.

Thanks for the kind word guys....

It seems most people have experienced thrashing one of these around a farm or back yard...lucky they were built to last, you just can't kill them.

Jake, throw some pics up of your R, I contemplated a bigger engine too, but seeing as it never gets ridden I don't see the point.

Cheers
