lx fuel line

What size is the standard metal fuel pipe on a lx,or will I need a bigger line,am running a modified 350 chev,cheers guys.

Standard is 5/16", ample for a mild V8 but an upgrade may be useful if you have higher aspirations

With a good fuel pump the 5/16 line is plenty for bigger HP engines too :-)

5/16 is good for about 330-360bhp. I upgrade all cars once past this point and have never had a fuel starvation issue. It's cheap insurance.

So you would suggest bigger then for around the 430hp then ?

I am running a 450hp 355 and only use the 5/16 standard fuel line. But mine is an injected set up with commodore electric pump. It is doable but probably better to go 3/8 with a carby set up.

 

There is someone selling a complete front to back 3/8 line for $150 in the for sale section.  Good buying.
