Has anyone felt the cover yet? If you haven't, have a feel and you will see what I mean!!!

Agreed though, it's a good issue! I got something in the Click n drag website section too! Check out the first site mentioned, I was stoked they printed it!

Sure have felt it, I felt the big huge crease/break in it right down the middle from where the postman shoved it in the letterbox. Beautiful. But yes, know what you mean.

Bit interesting for me who has obviously only been around a few years, to know some of the history and how the mag has developed. I was born in the same year it first came out!

Good score Brett, should get a few more members from that one!

Haha... you say there is no rice in it, yet there is a feature on a Datto 1600...

Great magazine though... Love the BADHQ Monaro...

With out blowing wind up a certain forum members skirt, i thought a particular red torana was missing from the lineup of Hero Cars on p79.

I was a huge fan of this mag for a long time, coming over from the panel van scene late 70's, early 80's.

Haven't bought steet machine for years, but this was an exception.

^^^Yeah, whats the deal?

That infamous red car has been in SM about 15 times in the last 10 years so I really don't get it :fool:

Welby,
you and anyone else who feels the same re: Hero Cars -
Send a letter in asking why it (or any other) wasn't there.
They may just print a nice little article because of the letters.

Grant..

First one that I have bought for a while.

I was fooled though! (the Falcon and monaro are nice but)

I think they are watching AMC flourish and want to win back the buyers from that era.

The problem is they have have been moving away from their roots for too long.

Whilst we can all appreciate hard work and special skill, I don't want to pay for articles on motorbikes, boats, helicopters and pushbikes.

Think about it, if you sat down and tore out all the crap like above and phone adds etc it would be about 10-15 pages.

Too late SM, too late.

Rat Attack was Dave Bennets from STARLIGHT PANELS wasnt it?

Maroon monaro big block with trumpets..Nice machine.

I was suprized about SLR8000 also, i flicked thru them pages looking for it a few times and thought WTF, oh well they almost got it right this time.

personally its an okay magazine but what makes it utterly useless is theres hardly any tech articles on performance gains for next to nothing

Umm, can you get peformance gains for next to nothing? LOL

Rhetorical question so please do NOT answer.

it's a waste of $10. It's for 13 year old children.

OK, you have all talked me into it. I have a wonderful collection of SM from the early days but i dropped off a couple of years ago when it became about motorcycles & hellicopters. I'me still waiting for the tech article on dropping the v6 into uc4me. Promises promises. I'me off to get a copy. Should have it read before the V8's start.
