Does anyone know the correct part number for a LC GTR inlet manifold? I'm getting different numbers between what's listed in the parts catalogue and what I'm seeing on "genuine" cars.

Don't confuse part numbers with casting numbers

7434447 is the part number for the GTR 2600S inlet manifold.

7433690 is the part number for the GTR 2850S inlet manifold.

Problem is you won't find a manifold with these part numbers cast in them.

The part number cast into the manifold is the part number for the bare manifold. Once you add the carburetor mounting studs to the manifold the spare part number changes, hence the number in the book is different to the number cast into the manifold.

If this is the case how do I then identify a factory fit LC GTR manifold?

For the 2600S engine you want a manifold with casting number 7434446 - P

Yes, the same manifold on the 186S.

HR 186S may be slightly different though?

Question, does the GTR manifold have mounting points for auto kick down? Manual HR 186S didn't I thought but later 186S did

No WW manifold had any provision for the Powerglide kickdown. It wasn't required, the rod to the auto connected directly to the carby.

Dr Teety

this refers to the HR and HK 186S with powerglide I assume,

so later 186S with Trimatic had the posts and a bracket for cable to gear box, is that right?

any thoughts on my original question?

the 7434446_P seems a bit elusive

No, the Tri-matic kickdown was operated by the cross-rod on the firewall, near where a clutch master cylinder is sometimes mounted.

Wasnt the trimatic kickdown a cable on the LC's or was the 4 door and GTR kickdowns different?

My 4 door LC has a cable kickdown that connects to the throttle bracket attached to the firewall.

cheers

Cable kick down on LC/LJ trimatic and GTR were 4spd manual only.
