They look pretty good mate, I currently have my car up on 4 chassis stands and I hate it and it isn't high enough.

The only thing is that its not often I get under the car without taking off at least one wheel to get to something, other than to do oil changes, so I don't know that they would get used that often.

At the moment I need to have all 4 wheels off so those stands would be useless

Handy if you don't want to buy a full sized jack I suppose (mine would lift straight to full height in one go, instead of three separate actions per end, can lift it straight onto a decent height set of ramps).

I really like the wooden stackable wheel stands, going to make me a set one day:

Buy the 6 tonne stands, they don't cost too much more than the 2-3 tonne ones and are quite a bit taller

Eww sorry, not for me, if I'm going under a car I'd like to think there's more than a couple of sticks of pine and a handful of wood screws holding it up!

I've shipped hundreds...thousands, of cars to Australia and when double stacking them in the container I simply build wooden supports to drive them up onto and then tie them down. 4 x 4's and 2 x 12's to drive onto support them bouncing along all the way to Melbourne just fine.... Those bits of wood are far stronger than the stands shown in the original post... (which are adequate anyway)
