Hi guys,

Just wondering what type of timing lights you are using with MSD ignitions? I've got an MDS Digital 6 Plus Ignition Box with a Pro Billet dissy on my 308.

According to the MSD manuals, I should be using an MSD timing light or I could get incorrect ignition timing settings. On the other hand I have been told that as long as I use a normal non-adjustable timing light I should be ok.

Can anyone enlighten me please? If I don't need to buy a new timing light, I won't. Currently I use my 30yr old Optilux timing light (non -adjustable).

Sorry if this has already been discussed, I've searched but can't find anything related....

Adjustable timing lights are worth there weight in gold.

I have one of these:

Ok cool, that looks good.
I have a romac balancer with graduations past 36deg. So if my current one is accurate with my MSD, I wouldn't need another. But that is defiantly an option if I need a new one!
