I don't have a Pay Pal account, however my wife did open one years ago but she can't remember if she used mine or her email addy as the account ID. The following is regarding my email ID for the account.

Anyone else gotten one of these?

I use Paypal all the time and have never had a message like that come up. They don't care what device I am using, as long as they get their interest. My advice would be to not click on any links and delete it.

Multiple Sign In links are always a bad sign (fishing for your password), not to mention the last link goes to "privateholding.com/a/www.php" which is clearly not Paypal.

edit: Skap you can't rely on the sender email address, its as easy to forge that as it is to write someone else's name on the back of an envelope

Easiest way to identify is close email and log in to your P/P account, If it's from them you'll read about it......

Paypal will never ask you for any personal information,

I got about 7 or 8 of these emails.

Rang pay pal & was told that the first thing to check is if the email is addressed to you.

Pay Pal never send a email without the account holder's name.

Don't ever click on the link & always delete the email.

My emails have this, Dear customer, Dear hello & pay pal account holder.

Victor

I'd forward the email to PayPal and tell them you think it's a scam and see what they have to say. We did this once and they confirmed it. It also means that they know what they're up against..
