just thought id share a story what i got told today by someone i know. She had her black monaro up the lights and up pulls this p plate skyline and thought right il leave this little shit box ricer and pushed in the powershift button

when the lights went green the ricer went for it and the monaro screamed right infront of it right at the start and just kept on going while he was sitting back shifting

at the next set of lights however she was laughing and looked over at him and and he deliberately didnt look over and when the lights tunred green he just took off slowly

my saying is those non-australian muscle cars have more DB than KW,S the cars we get at work make me laugh. some times its there first car and they have never driven a 6 or v8 australian car. being on a main road with a set of lights out front i see about 50 drag racing cars a day lol.

HAHAH top story :)

Its great when they eat humble pie!!

My saying is they've got more Watts than Killowatts.. ( Sound Systems are usually rated in Watts output)...

shitboxes with idiot drivers having things to prove..
Funny thing is though.. I've not been lined up at the lights yet!? Go figure!

I wouldn't blame anyone for not having the guts to line up against the Quie... Or is it the driver they're scared of? :P

My wife used to do that in old days to Fords, cortinas, Valiants and then come home and brag about the DHs.
She liked the XU1, had lead foot as well
Scared the pants of herself one day, took off too quick on wet road got sideways and LSD went on and did 360,
Snuck off real quiet.
In those days everyone wanted to drag at lights.

also saw a skyline belting it in one of the main streets of town haning spinners ???? why even bother i mean seriously he deserves this hoon laws thrown at him i say if ricers have anyguts come and give us v8 blokes a run at the lights

the funny thing is how i see it as they are a bit like renault in the f1sa few years back when they first brought in the turbos and were whooping ass well when all the others used them they were at the back of the packs again (just like the v8s that use centrifugals and blowers turbos etc)

that last thing reminds me of when I was coming back from Sydney, we made a stop off in Benella... there was a VR or VS SS commonwhore with the P's up and 4 guys in it hooning up and down the street (for those that dont know the main strip in Benella there are a series of roundabouts) drifting around said roundabouts. Sitting in KFC every 3 or so minutes or so we'd see them again going back and forth dropping the gears on their autos around the roundabout ...

We didn't see them for about 20 minutes when we were driving back out of the town to get onto the freeway ... from memory it was a shiny silver XR8 pulled over in front of the commo ... blue and red lights on and these sullen faces of 4 boys standing around their car ...

was poetic ...

(I may have told this one before ... can't recall)

Love these stories, my boss has a neat under bonnet supercharger fitted to his Gen 3 ute,

Set the scene

R34 skyline fresh off the shelf cruises out of the servo on McIntyre Road sunshine, melb. Very Subtly ute putts up beside him, R34 dumps the clutch and off he races, SS gently eases out and after him.

Skyline gets next lights, boss pulls up beside him, window down and sarcastic but politely asked mr Nissan, is it a 6 mate, Yeah driver says.

Ute replies, this isnt.

lights greens, skyline off. Ute, 3 cars ahead in 50 meters snatching 3rd to skate accross the lanes in front of him.

Stops at the next lights to pay out, but the skyline turned off before he got close to us, lol

Cheers

haha they dont like getting drilled...

I smoked a nissan exa in my old 202 not once.. but twice off the lights..
and with his poor display of driving skills i called it quits after that!!

P plater decided it would be Phully Sik to cut across two lanes to get around an S bend ( basically a chicane) that i took in the torana in my own lane at around 80kays...
Thats when i blew him away off the lights again only to have the looser fly by when i backed off at errr... slightly over the limit ;)

I dont bother any more.. Unless it runs 11s.. i dont want to waste the fuel!

It's nice to be old and wise.

Years ago (mid 80s) I got blown off by an old dude at a set of lights. Hadn't rained for quite a while and the roads were very slick. Me in my LX 4.2 SL carefully idled away from the lights, being wary of wheel spin, but the old dude in his Morris Major (I think it was) on razor blades got better traction. He won.

About 81 coming back from Murray Bridge ( been ski-ing ) to Adelaide there is long uphill section of freeway about 12 Ks. I was in wife's LX SS, 202 with turbo, 4 people cruising 80 ks. GT Falcon comes up along side pulls away slows down,
up again, down, up anoying me.
So other guys start carrying on I put my foot down bit turbo started to wine boost came in and I pulled ahead just a bit then he went ahead then me and so on up to about 140 ks then he got pissed off, dropped back gear and floored it to pull away
sounded bloody awful missing and banging so I just let him go, he was not happy.

Did I mention I was towing ski boat. (only 17ft with 202 so not real heavy)

I can't tell you how many times I get lined up with the Monaro, EVO8's WRX's, Silvias and a lot of SS's and Utes. But never in the Torana, maybe 3 runs in ten years and the best was a Honda 750 bike!

to me the perfect type of street racing is to pull up against a gtr or whatever at a set of lights take off but keep it level so they think they are going fast but at the next lights leave em for dead

 not that i drag race on the streets and find it very naughty to do it hehee

my stock as a rock 202 in the lj was struggling to keep up with an v6 magna

but it was an new one i suspect a major problem with this engine however i think the cams stuffed the compression isnt probably up to spec either

still does 3000 tho

I dont think i'd try and race you in your torry either :P

I guess it goes to show that these idots are only after what they believe to be "easy kills"... Dont want a race with something comparative now do we!

Cheers :)
