John Shepard before taking over the reins at HDT owned monaro motors and have been told by one of his employees that Holden provided them with a jig and parts for the conversion and they did around 15-17 cars he,s not sure of exact numbers.

Hi,
Did John Shepard do all the L34 to A9X conversions for race teams or did some teams do their own conversions. My car was done. It has an A9X diff and a steel case Super T10 gearbox with strange ratios 2nd, 3rd and 4th are real close. I don't think John Shepard would remember who's L34 he converted!
Photo 1 was how it was in 1988 when I bought it. It is a lot tidier now. About 20 years ago I sold those big 2 15 x 10'' and the 2 15 x 9 1/4'' for $160 a pair with the nuts too! I wish now I hadn't!
