hey guys im sure this has been answerd before but was it volvo that has the same 13" stud pattern as the lc and lj but with a 14" rim??

These are 15' fitted to my LJ. They are Volvo but wont fit on the front without spacers as they hit the wishbone. I haven't checked but would probably need "hub rings" too.

what are hub rings, and do you know where you can get engineer approved spacers? (so they are legal)

Hub rings take up the difference between the new wheel and where it "spigots" on the hub. That is like the boss that your rear brake drum fits over is smaller than the hole in the wheel. Without the hub rings to take up the difference, as you tighten the wheel nuts the wheel becomes "out of round" to the axle and vibration can occur. I don't think there is such a thing as "legal" spacers unless fitted from the factory. XU1's I believe had them fitted to the rear (3mm or 1/8th of an inch I think) from the factory and so did a model of GT Falcon from memory. You might get away with 3mm spacers on the front of a Torana if you say they were factory fit on the rear?
