The LH SL/R was released with 4.2 badges on the front fenders and bootlid. The SL/R badge replaced it on the LX SL/R. The LX SL/R also had a 4.2 badge on the bootlid.

Holden also put these badges on 4.2 SL's.
 
Apparently there were also 5.0 SL hatches; very rare; not sure if it had 5.0 on the fenders though.

my apologies for the fender remark, l had know idea they came out on Torana's, but I stand by the ones on the bonnet scoop. I'd only seen that badges on the HJ - HX Monaros. You learn something every day.

The brown thing at least seems to have 5 spoke dragways on it?

- and that's OK!

 

The other funny thing is that in the photos so far, all of the little 'Wiper Arm Aids' (that cling on to your wiper arms) seem to have fallen off.

You just know that they had them.................
