as much as I hated gasless,
I have since seen welders at cockburn cement weld panels in a filter house with them no problems,
the unit was a remote one run from a generator 10 metres below,
but were Lincoln brand.

Takes a lot of grinding to clean up.
But.....I'm a better grinder than a welder.

Better to have gas, but like me if that is all you have got at the moment, with practice they can work ok, for stitch and plug welding i have to wind my up a fair bit more than suggested to get good penetration.

Type "Gasless" into the search function and have a read of a few dozen threads.

No worries Boss lets do everything you want to do, just looked in search i reckon its easier to ask a quick question and if you don't get your answer then have a search, ??????

Give it a go if you have to with gasless. It will take a lot of grinding and rewelding and more grinding...use 7mm wire as the flux to metal ratio is higher and more likely you will get aa cleaner weld, if you can call it that.
That is a great comment Neil about the wire,
you must mean 0.7 wire.
finding the balance.
Like button for you.

Not the best option but it can be done with enough patience (and usually extra clean up)
Never found anything smaller than 0.8mm wire with flux core but the smaller the better for panel work so if 0.7mm is available then by all means use it.

Yeah i use gasless, i would use gas but to expensive. Sometimes i can get it down to hardly any grinding. But usually lots of grinding. Harder to get good penetration, most times i weld both sides of the joint, just to be sure.

If you are a beginner with the MIG stick to gasssed welding until such time you are proficient enough to have a go with the gassless wire.

Gas less mig welders are for farmers who can't stick weld.
I have a farm and I have both, use the stick for stainless
but prefer the mig with gas and .6 mm wire for panels
the wire is a lot cheaper if you buy big roll. I run it onto smaller bobbins using the lathe so fits in the mig holder
you pay for gas but less work over all
