I personally don't like the look of them but I knew of a guy who fitted one to a LH with a LS1 motor and he claims it really did make a difference and stiffened the feel of the car
If it was me I would weld in chassis link ups

No probs with mine, fitted about 15 years ago when the SBC went in.

Simple bolt in job, no welding required. Definitely stiffened the car up a bit. No doubt there are 'nicer' ways to do it these days as mentioned above, but for pure simplicity (and remove-ability), I reckon they're good.

Dare I ask what the cost is these days?

I have one fitted to my car too.  Actually a nice clean looking set up.  Not sure what brand though.

I have one I was going to fit to the hatch. Although it's mostly bolt in that does include making multiple holes in the floor. Given your car is an original 5000 I wouldn't do it for the time being.
The extra steel will make you slower too!

If you think $1300 is a rip off .....sit down and work it all out for your self ....where do you start...its a bolt in kit and someone has taken the time and effort to make sure they fit so when you buy it ,it just all bolts up

Its also engineered I believe.

You can get into a bit of strife drilling chassis members and floorpans, this kit is engineered so no dramas.

Correct, comes with the appropriate paperwork. Helped my car sail through the engineering process.

It is actually a neat kit, I forget mines even there.

Believe it or not the WA DPI currently requires a CRS chassis kit to be fitted if you want to register a UC with a stock 304.

When was it licensed?

The first I heard of the chassis kit requirement was Sept 2015 when berro59 was registering his UC hatch with a stock VN 304.

http://www.gmh-toran...hatch/?p=929235

I was not asked by the WA DPI to fit a chassis kit with the LS2 application.
