Hi all,

Im part way thru restoring an hq panelvan.

Ive come to the brakes and am needing to fix up the master cylinder. Its a P6615, which Ive been told is no longer available or is the repair kits.

Now ive been advised to get a P7210 instead, and have been looking for one. Ive come across one on ebay which looks like the original and is by Protex. Are these actually any good? They seem pretty cheap at $115.....too cheap to be any good?

Any reviews on these?

Thanks

Be careful of the reservoirs being arse about on them. Or chase up Greg Thackray and buy a recoed original style, Dr Terry does them too.

All the aftermarket ones regardless of brand come from PRC

P6615 became P7210

If your after an original looking one then keep searching

If any old cylinder will do you... Protex/PBR/etc are all Chinese crap nowdays

Kits can be had for your orig cyl... just need to know what exactly it is

Cast , alloy , big nut , aftermarket alloy or cast... etc

You should be able to get your cyl refurbished. The PBR P6615 alloy m/cyl is not the original fitment on a HQ.

BHSS here in Brissy (Capalaba) can stainless sleeve and kit out almost anything. Surely there is a business down your way that can do the same?

Thought I should add that GMP&A did supply PBR alloy m/cyl's as genuine replacement parts.
