Cut the 2 wings off the side of the gearbox and they go straight in...
The only time they don't fit is if you have to run a trans-shield...ie: transbarake applications etc....

ive got a glide in a lc and its got a transbrake no shield. trans blankets are the go. and yeah i cut the 2 tags off.
Umm mines a 6 cylinder case but is the same except for the bellhousing as im runnin a jatco bellhousing.

I could imagine that a blanket is the way to go!
I'm old enough to remember when there was no such thing as a trans-blanket!!!
It was a bulky shield or nothing...OUCH!
1st gear is the main difference between a 6cyl glide and the V8 one..There are other differences.. but yeh that's the main one...
