I have a Whiteline front bar fitted and occurred to me that it should be adjustable...but which way?..Does it get stiffer if the clamps are out closer to the ends of the bar near the brakes or stiffer if they are back closer to the subframe? Anyone?

The closer to the end of the bar the drop mount is the less resistance to roll you will have....
This is because it has more leverage on the bar, remember the bar is just a torsion spring and the bent end of the bar is merely a lever.
How thick did you go on the bar Rory?
Cheers Greg..

Jesus!! Greg I just finished typing and the answer was there!! 22mm..non weld on type...so if I slip the clamps right out to the ends it will lean less?..The whiteline catalogue says..bolts to std bar..??..and have no ground clearence I guess...I looked at the pics from the last race and it looks good but I reckon it is leaning a bit more than it should so will run them right out to the ends.

P.S...Just reread your post...stiffer out to the ends or stiffer back near the chassis?

Stiffer back to the chassis....

So if you move the clamps further backwards, towards the rear mounting points of the swaybar you get more stiffness?
Might have to have a play with mine... my clamps are right up the front near the springs and shocks.
