okay fellas im kinda puzzled at the moment my stock radio in the lh looks as if it hasnt came out of the dash yet it looks as if its missing an surround could someone take a pic of theres
also are these hard to get hold of or would it effect it by cutting in a hole for cd player
thinking of speakers in doors as well since door trims are homemade jobs

It's not that common to find an untouched lower dash - rare to find a lower dash section with the pocket intact like SS or A9X You would be better off putting the one you have aside and just grabbing one from the wreckers if you plan on putting a cd player in. My 2c.

don't do it! (i have one with a pocket, on the bench)
get a crap one with a hole cut in it already.. and while its out, wipe it down with metho n give it a couple coats of paint. looks much better!
take the whole panel off and mark your head unit on the steel, then cut it out with an angle grinder. you should be getting two rectangular plates roughly an inch by 1.5 inches (rough guess).
cheers.
