Red & tan, not my first choice in interior colours...
Still looking good otherwise.

Just find a grey UC dash (they're not everywhere but they do exist, or you could paint it) and it'd look great.

No doubt it's worth 11k but I have my doubts about finding someone willing to pay that.

Its for sale on Ebay. Its not mine, never was I'm just the sucker who built the engine... :P

I think this particular person bought it for around $4500, not too sure what the final selling price was. From the pics I see they've ditched the immaculate SL/E interior *sob*, and looks like its had a bit of a respray as well.

I'd say that the receipts would add up to over $11K, good luck to the dude selling it hope he gets the cash, because the car is plum.

I saw it going down tonkin highway in peak hour traffic during the week, near benara rd i think. Had a youngish man driving it throwing a cigerette out the window.

People must get bored quick

I reckon it's an awesome interior, it definately isn't finished so it doesn't look fantastic but do you wrap your car around a pole just because it's in primer and it looks like crap because you haven't added the final coat on yet?

haha, great call heath. i can see where aidan is coming frm, the interior is definatly an aquired taste and appeals to the younger audience, and if the interior was as good as previously stated then it is quite horrific to molester it as has been done, but it is nice.
one sweet ride god knows i would now be looking forward to be parting with it, hope the guy gets his cash, god knows it looks like its worth it.

I see there is one bid for $11000 on it.
Is it worth that much, to at least one person, and that is what matters. Perhaps there is 7grand or so in worthwhile mechanical mods? and no fact air.
The commodore rims look a bit average, and looks like the oil gauge is blown off the scale, or there is too much oil pressure, where is the genuine colour coded sle/gts wheel gone......ahh, and the interior, looks like pimp my ride has got to it. Personally the sle fawn interior, just the seats really, are great for comfort and looks, Id only get rid of mine if someone was going to trim them in leather.......as you can tell, I like it clean and original(not necessarily genuine), especially if the original item/equipment was good to start with.

Here's how it was:

Bloody phone cameras.

devil's the oil press gauge does work, just not the electric one on the dash. It has a mechanical gauge on the console. It's jipped out to max because no doubt the wire for the electric dash gauge is touching the body/chassis again somewhere...

Engine cost about $5500, which was starting from scratch, block, heads everything... Auto and converter was another $1000, the rest of the driveline this guy has done...

Thanks for posting the pic, the steering wheel doesnt look to match(maybe just the light in the photo), new carpet would have been all it needed to look good as well as getting rid of that "hoon shifter" ,yeh I know they are the go for the go fast guys...........
Interesting(for me anyway) re the seats: the sunbird sle seats have a velour/shag style trim(which were also in a sle sunbird I have) that goes all the way to the edges of the front surface, whereas the seats I have in my UC SL deluxe(which is basically the 6cyl with sle options) has cloth corduroy inserts with vinyl outer, which I personally prefer.
