Just about to start a LS1 or LS2 manual conversion on my LH just wondering if there are any tips on doing this conversion?
What conversion kit to use?
Mods to the tunnel to fit the t56?
Can I convert to power steering? If so what steering rack?
What diff should I run? I was thinking vl turbo
Brake upgrades?
Thanks Josh

I am still doing the conversion with tuff mounts and moroso sump and cut a lot of tunnel out to fit the t56,
Might be worth considering using a tko 600 5 speed and not cut the tunnel, just an idea
Worth asking your engineer which brakes you can use, mine said yes to the upc kit and also a set of wilwoods I ended up using,
Enjoy

I didn't use a kit....you could do it all yourself depending on your skill level of course and tools and stuff you have around.
I used a T56 in mine and had to raise the center part of the trans tunnel a bit over an 1" to get things to fit. (I raised it as high as possible and still be able to fit the stock console under the dash)
I used a 9" diff... common and plenty of stuff out there for them cheaply. (no VL diffs over here to compare with, haha..and 10 or 12 bolt Chev stuff didn't seem worth the effort)
On the power rack, perhaps check with Axistr ?
Can't speak for engineering side of things, but as mentioned been a bunch of threads before that should help as well.
(On brakes, I made my own setup using AMG Mercedes Brembo stuff...bit overkill probably, but what the heck)

Everything you have asked has been run thru a few times
So hopefully all the answers are available somewhere here
And have a look and Andy's site
