that sounds like a good thing to have a look at...those F5000 are hugely noisey and old school.

It's the final race of the weekend (5th), reverse grid with a 20 sec handicap for the first 50%. Also a non-points race, but a Trevor Roy Young memorial race.
As you can see the speeds are varying. Unfortunately there was a big crash which caused the red flag.
We had a few small issues which meant we were chasing our arses, as well as lack of testing time to get setups for the new watts rear end.
All in all was an excellent weekend minus this clowns contact! Formula 5000 were great to watch.

Yeah when the red mist descends some people do get a bit carried away... Glad there were no big issues.
Love the old F5000 cars, they have just relaunched a modern version of it now, not sure if its going to take off but they look good - http://www.speedcafe...testing-begins/

Luv these old (new) things...but probably will suffer from lack of numbers?....reckon there are just too many categories fighting for the available track time and sponsorships.?
Plus, open wheelers in Aus always play second fiddle to sedans..just the way it is.
Good to see them trying anyway...they make all the right noises!!!

Got to watch that, will stiffen the shit out of the rear end, wont allow the diff to articulate.
Will have 2 conflicting movements, been through that.
Agreed, you have a roll centre defined by the converging top arms and one defined by the watts - change top bushes to rubber, at least that will allow more movement through the suspension travel and reduce some of the binding
