Do owners have insurance covered for their vehicle when they have changed motors and it's a bigger motor?

for example.. LC with V8 etc..

I've seen many Torana's with different motor's and that thought has always popped in my mind.

I plan to put a V8 in my LC and even with an engineer's certificate, will I still be able to get insurance?

If you have an engineers cert. Then places like Shannons will definitely insure you.

Give them a call and chat to a rep. They will even insure you during the build etc

Mine is insured with Shannons, so long as it is engineered and registered i don't think you will have any issues

I had my V6 LH insured through the NRMA.

Was a bit repetitive repeating over the phone that it had a larger engine than standard, it was engineered etc. but there was no problems, or unwillingness to insure.

From memory they just insured it as a 202 and left some sort of note on the policy. They assured me no issues.
