I di too but it doesn't belong in a Torana and is far more valuable than a Torana dash! So is the steering wheel to a HQ SS owner. Isn't a GTS dash either, it is a HZ sports or option U17 dash. Standard fitment to HZ Sandman, HZ GTS and HZ SL/E (with a different fascia) but optional in most other HZ's other than Caprice. Also optional in WB commercials A good one of those will pull $1000+ today.

The instruments. Fascia is from a HJ or HX or painted. The fascias are reproed today, the instruments are the valuable part.

Gene ,It may have been in a hatch but I don't think it was  .Was up at Wally boys a while back .If I didn't have a dash for Torana I would definitely go that way

It looks like he also has the hatch console which is also worth a bit.

I don't see it as a waste if the owner enjoys it. It's all period correct and doesn't look like a hack job, if you showed it to someone that had never seen a Holden before they probably wouldn't pick it as unusual.

As it doesn't have the dwell wiper controls anyway, I would've tried turning those vents 90° (vertical) and then centre the cluster over the steering column, I like the concept otherwise, but that would just annoy the crap outta me when driving!

I was thinking that too but the speedo and tach seem to be centred and viewable through the wheel which is all you really need to see most times.

that  looks ok....

...no matter if you like alternate dashes or not (I'm not a real fan) ..still gotta give credit for the amount of effort required to pull it of and give it that factory type look.

most annoying thing that first grabs me with this is the 2 ridiculously spaced extra gauges way over on the passengers side.

I appreciate the workmanship though, but never really liked these interiors in the commonwhores let alone a torana (even though it is one of the itty bitty toranas that beginners play with)

runs and dodges thrown stones............

^ totally impractical unless you expect to have a navigator keeping an eye on them.

Thank Holden for that. That's where they sit in the big models too.
