Hi all,

Been driving my LJ sedan and have noticed the front brakes squealing when i stop and a friction noise (like i can hear the pad against the rotor) when i slow as well. My questions are -

1. Is this serious?? or just needs new pads??

2. Rotor's are a little shiny (maybe from glazing?), would it be worthwhile getting some slotted thicker XU1 style rotors?? and

3. what cost am i looking at (pads & rotor's) & any mods needed to fit or straight bolt up (XU1 Rotor's)??

It does still stop just gets a little anxious when keep hearing those noises. Any help or feedback appriciated guys. (I know probably been answered before but I couldnt find any topics that suited my situation).

sounds like you need new pads and to get your disks machined....$150 or so all up mate. thats providing your disks can be machined, get them checked out.

Righto guys, get paid on the 15th August so it wil be done then for sure (cant afford anything before then). i reckon il go some decent ferodo pads and get the rotor's machined (providing it can be done) as well.

Go the Ferodo 'EXCEL's I got them in the LJ and they are great.

Mick,
I have a brand new set of pads I took out of the race car when I was building it...dont know what they are but have Ferodo part numbers on them..They are yours if you want them..I will just chuck them for the above reasons. I can send them COD post if you want?
