So guys, waddya reckon? Who is the most deserving winner of the $15 000 SMOTY prize?

Plenty of Toranas to choose from (3), and alot of other sweet machinery aswell.

I'm leaning towards the HQ Monaro, although the HR Premier is up there aswell... So is MR MAD... and that Datto 1600 (?) is faaaiirly nice aswell.

Decisions, Decisions!

RIM

Also an LX in the Iron Maiden section, and an LC GTR in Readers Cars.

Ohh and i reckon up the HR. nothing like a 6cylinder wining SMOTY. speaking of SMOTY, i know the new owner of The redclife dyno and performance LJ that won a few years back (blower and twin turbos) now has a 400 ands something chevy crate engine. looking to run it at WSID next wednesday night. It might have to come down to a Rock Paper Scissors!

Any ideas of how much RDP-08 sold for?

Dynosteve had it advertised for 45k,took some time to sell so it may have gone for less.It was sold with a chev engine & ran a 9.40 1/4.

The supercharged/twin turbo engine now sits in the old Shane Burcher utefeatured in EXTREME mag.

Thats the reason I like it, because its got those things but also some more thought. They have not just thrown a blower and big rims on but have done a lot more in the detail department.

For example, from memory, they used a Brougham nose cone and boot (now thats no easy job) as well as all the stuff you'd expect from a show car, massaged flares, great paint, neat custom interior (which I think really compliments the rest of the car). But stretching the boot is a neat touch I reckon, looks really good too.

Just my line of thinking.

Cheers,
