lj may be small, but think about how thick the metal is on them. and there really not much smaller then a uc,

Uc have no nose cone, lighter bonnet, bumpers even feel lighter ect ect

i would have thought the LC would have been the lighter of them all as it was the first of the sixes and not as refined in the body/interior/mechanical areas.
even that cool metal grill looks lighter than the later plastic ones.

and I read in an old LC ad that the XU-1 had '150bhp/tonne, and 190 gross bhp'

Which would make them weighing not much more than a tonne.

out of the 6 cyl cars, LC's are the lightest, heaps lighter than a UC.

maybe a UC with a rusted out floor/boot/guards could be lighter

always thought the LC would be ... hence their popularity amoung 6 cylinder cars ...

Definately LC.

The workshop manual specifies dry weights as low as 980kg for a base model S two door I think.
