Greenmachine it looks very similar to one that a mate has recently bought from either Sydney or Melbourne and now has it sorted and is in the high 9`s

Sydney car guys....
Previous owner is a friend. Same guy who used to own the white XU-1 with the OXU 200 number plates same as Rory's plates.
Sorry I don't have any pics to share... I can ask George for some when I see him... but don't hold your breath, as I'm fairly busy at the moment.

Cheers Greg..

Greenie...
will ask George and see what pics he has....
Did you buy the car?
it's a funny tale that car.... keeps popping up next to me all the time!
I nearly bought it way back in 1991 off the original builder...
I thought at the time it was a step forward from the 308/XU-1 i was currently racing, and it would have been... (big tubs, extensive cage etc....) but someone else beat me to it.. and it disapeared...
Years later at a street meeting at willowbank I was offered a "green XU-1 that looks like your old car" is the way it was described to me...
Turned out to be this car AGAIN!!!
Anyway, didn't buy and forgot/moved on...
3Years ago George phones up and says" guess what's sitting in my garage" And I replied.."i dunno....my old XU-1"
He say's"what FROG-U".....
And I said "go on shock me".....
Turned out it was this bloody green thing AGAIN!!!!!
Enough waffle!!!!
Anyway the colour I believe is MARCH 17 aNn LJ Torana colour.
The guy who originally built the car comes from Newcastle and Is a mate of Rex Websters(FJ Holden fame)..think he even worked for him at some stage. He is also a mate of the guy that used to drive the "hot cargo" XF Falcon ute drag car years ago....
If i think of anymore info I will let you know

Cheers Greg..

Sorry, the only pic I can find is the Ted's digital camera one, but that's wearing drag-lites anyway.

I know the vehicle, but I don't think I have a pic of it, sorry. Good luck

Was that FROG U,didn't recognise it,I still remember that thing from when it was sitting in Midwest Performance for around 6-12 months, nearly 10 years ago.It had 14in neales wheels.

Didn't it start out as an lc xu1,converted to v8 & lj in the mid 70's.Dude that built it into FROGU name Greg Hart(?).This car was in a torana mag with WAY2LO on the cover.I never saw the tags on it though.

Ok got it now didn't think it was FROGU & didn't click that you built/ owned it.Just remembered back then when I got my gtr & there used to WAY2LO,GFORCE,CAL400,Mick Turbo's lj & a few other tough torries running around on the street, good memories of those cars.

It was a time when I had just got my license & lost it pretty quickly, had to watch everyone else cruising around in their torries.

Hi Greenmachine.
Was this car for sale in April this year?
I bought some stuff from him and have his Ebay user name if that helps.
John.
