Heres my newest car, XF Falcon. $1500 with 12 months rego.

I bought it as a work car cause the torana cost too much to run (Hows that, going UP an engine size to save fuel).

I already got a quote for a gas conversion.... $2050... So after a $2000 rebate i end up paying $50!!

I am yet to take delivery of the car.

Are you sure its a 2 grand rebate? I thought it was 'only' $1000...

I don't know if I'd be going an XF for a daily driver over a Torana. Then again your LX isn't drinks a fair bit more than your average Torana...

I must admit I have a bit of a soft spot for XD/XE/XFs. Quite nice. Tell us when you've got some Chromed 8" Slotters on her.

My cousin has an XD ute that was supposed to end up as a full 80's rig. jacked up rear, Wide 12 Slotters, Pastel paint. Lost interest just after the engine started working.

Excellent deal, nice looking car!

I hope I am as lucky when I get my conversion costings done. Wouldn't mind paying only $50.00 of my money and the gov't picking up the rest of the tab :)

Cheers

Yeah its full $2000 rebate on a car you get fitted with gas. If you buy a new car with gas option then you 'only' get $1000.

Only problem, not thats a real problem, is that its between 2 months and up to 6 months wait to get it fitted. Every gas place is packed out with bookings around here, but the main wait is for the gas fitters to actually get the gas bottles and kits from the suppliers.

Im in no rush so it doesnt bother me.
