Just curious as to how much a set of 4 alloy wheels would cost to get a professional polish, or a re-machine?

Hi Mike
Just go out & buy a bottle of this polish (PURPLE POLISH)
You will be amazed with the results, just like new.
Costs about $26.00 from a truck accessorie store

cheers Keith

Approx $40 to $60 a wheel.
Depends if they need repairing first or just a polish.
I paid $450 to have a set of rare wheels restored.
As Keith1962 said, Purple is a great product. But if your wheels are pitted, youll have to cut them back before the polish.
John.

Gee $40 - $60 per wheel would be fantastic, cheapest guy in Canberra I know of charges $100.00 per wheel and others are dearer still.

I do mine myself, cant afford $400-oo per set for a polish.

Will look into Purple Polish as mentioned above ^^^^

Cheers

If you just need to polish your wheels then you can do what me and a mate did last year. Wash your wheels with water to clean all the brake dust/dirt off. Jack up the back, get a fair amount of mag polisher (meguiars or otherwise) onto a rag and hold it on the rim. start the car and spin the wheels. Careful of your fingers though. =p.

A guy in sydney repaired my alloy sprintmasters for 120 a wheel (no polish tho) buti t had substantial curb damage.

i know of a few in sydney and one charges roughly $40 to $100 (9618 1300) depending on damage and one other one was quoted as saying by the hour, about $65 P/hr (have b/card somewhere).
