Hi everyone, just got hold of an LC GTR but it has no tags. Very original body with original paint in door jambs (Looks like Blackwatch green?) Gold trim. needing total resto. Unfortunately previous owner can’t find tags. So the only number I’ve got to go off is the body or chassis? number on inner guard. Is there anything I can find out about the car from it?
Would appreciate any help or a steer to someone that can
Cheers

About all that can be discerned from the chassis number is the Vehicle Assembly Plant the chassis/body was assembled in and which year & approx time frame.

A dark metallic green could also be Verdoro Green. Post up or if you prefer you could PM me the chassis number..

Thanks Dave, I was concerned it wouldn’t tell me much. I’ll write it down next time I’m at the shed with it. I don’t think it’s Verodo , I think it’s a bit darker (under boot and all door jambs are still original paint. ) The guy I bout it off said it was a 1971 car, I thought he said October? If they made them that late? If so, it probably had a 173 in it I guess?

Hi

If the Chassis Number commences with "LC" it won't be Blackwatch Green Met., if it commences with "ALC" it probably is.

LC GTRs were built to the end of 1971 and were fitted with the CF (2850S) engine.

Cheers

Bazza
