I'm getting frustrated looking for decent Torana Stud Pattern rims...
does anyone here know what Volvo rims will bolt straight up?
Is there only a limited set, like a certain era (like the Early Holden, then HQ, then Commodore)?

Anyone know of wreckers that stock them?

Help!!! :fool: :furious:

Peter_UC has them on his UC. I believe you need to get some 'hub rings' to fit them on properly, but other than that its a straight bolt up fit.

Well I hadn't really thought of it makka, just how much friggin' around is involved? Gotta do the rears too don't forget!!

If it was a day job and not too steeply priced, I may go down that path... gotta be easier than Commodore.

I rang Hoppers for a chat today... was pretty much fobbed off.... couldn't be bothered with me. Basically, buy our $1300 kit or see you, bye.

Not what I was expecting after the feedback from others here!

Whatta ya got in mind wheel wise?
Thanks makka....

Hey Matty, keep us up to date on Maddy's build up!

73LJWhiteSL, what are these hub rings you're speaking of??

the front is pretty easy, you need to get some axles done for the back, I think McDonald brothers racing do it.

how about my wheels Dick?

What size rims and tyres are they again makka?

YiriSS, 15 by what mate? Aren't they the interceptor lookalikes?
What size tyres you running Mick?

I'm not put off at all by these rims... I'm thinking color coded with a chrome dress ring?
Might look OK.....?
Definately something different, and cheaper than an HQ conversion!!! Gotta make tyre choice a whole lot easier too.

Still, can't get those 14x7 Rebels outta my head..... bloody 14in tyres!

Wheels are gettin' bigger... gone are the days when you could have wide 13's, and i think 14's are soon to follow...

Did you get those rims widened Mick?
Do you know the offset?
Do you reckon you could get 235's in there?

Have a look at LHmusL's Volvo rims on page 4 of the photoshoot thread.... different style, but still Volvo's....

73LJWhiteSL, what are these hub rings you're speaking of??

Knoath, I can't really tell you anything about them. Peter put the Volvo maggs on his UC, and had problems with vibrations above 80KPH. He said he went to a wheel place and they made up some 'hub rings' or something similar and that fixed the problem.... probably best to talk to him.
