I have had a 17x8 under the front of mine, I think the offset was +20, but I have HQ brakes as well. If I was gonna keeep the 17's on it I would want P76 discs to narrow the track a lil. I had 245's on there, but a 225 or 235 would be better

thanx makka, it looks like 15x8 with 20+ will just clear the top of the ball joint and was thinking of running a 205/50 but the car is not going ATM, did you have any trouble on the turns with the guards fouling or anything like that?
the front is pretty low.

the killer with the fronts is the height of the tyre, not so much the width, but yeah, it wasnt too easy too turn with the 245's

Sound pretty awesome.

Keep in mind how low Cohen's car is... will yours necessarily be as low or can you make it higher?
I'd just keep tyre width to a minimum, and don't make it super low; you should be safe... hopefully

I've got 225/65/R13s on my car (on the rear; nothing to do with clearance) and I doubt I'd want to go any skinnier on 8"s with that profile, I'm not sure whether different profile's would adversely affect the way a certain width of tyre behaves on a certain width of wheel, but I'd ring up your local tyre joint and talk to them about what profiles and widths would be alright if you're unsure.

225's is about as narrow as you would want to go on a 8. if those rims sat a lil more in (P76 discs will fix that) it would be fine. I will see if I can get gthe 17's back on this weekend and see how they are with the 235's on the front. and yes, the front of mine is pretty low, cant get my trolley jack under the crossmember properly

^ yeah same here, ive got to lift the bumper to get a trolley jack under.
205 is quoted min 6 inch and max 8 inch with around 7 to 7.5 being ideal. the wider the rim the less movement in the side wall. i would really go with 7 inch but have the 8's and as i said, they look sick esp with the 205/50/15 on them. the tread actually measures 8.5 as they are low profile and the tread only extends around the sidewall radiusabout 1/4 inch.

Yeah I've got 205s on 7s and 225s on 8s and it sits quite nicely on them, I can't say how it holds the corners though, lol.

There's no option of you investing in some of those P76 discs? or do you have them already? Or are you running Torana stud pattern? Haven't even looked at the whole thread so excuse my ignorance. School time, see ya!
