hey boys, how are you all???

i have just taken my car to road worthy, and wil find out later this afternoon or tomro what i wil need to do to finally get it on the road.
one thing tha i would have found very helpfull was a guide as such on what they wil be checking to get the car on the road.
i know some things are nessesary eg tires, windscreen and the like, but to know about some of the smaller things that they would be checking on would ahve been very helpfull.
just a though.
my car has a new engine, gear boy, new diff and rebuilt front end, al new rubbers right through new tires, new door seals and all electrics work, but im sure they wil fnd something, so a checklist i could have ran through before i took it would ahve been excillent.
just an idea that i think would be helpfull.

Its the little things that bug them...if it has a million little faults they will keep looking for the big ones.

Test all lights, blinkers, brake and park lights
washers and wipers
horn
Tyres and brakes
clean up your oil leaks, degrease engine
jack it up and wobble the wheels.
let it down and bounce the suspension

They just want to know its going to be safe and if you crash noone is going to point the finger at them.

If a roadworthy is the same as a blue slip (for Nsw).

Blinker Cancellers - need two little springs, and hopefully the canceller plastic thing isnt broken/cracked inside because you can't get a replacement anymore.

Key doesnt come out of ignition barrel whilst engine is running $80 dollars to fix at any locksmith.

Doors dont wobble, open them and move them up and down (if they move the pins are stuffed).

Seat belts not frayed.

good luck :spoton:

seats dont move when they are pushed/pulled by the headrest, eg no slop.
pollution gear
if its an auto you will need a light in the gear selector
slop in the steering wheel
any holes in the floor/boot
rust
ground clearence (at least 100mm)
There are soooo many little things

chevvy, you do not need a spare tyre or tool kit to pass a roadworthy

I have just got my LX passed in NSW for blue slip and the best
advice i can give is just to take it in as you have done because
it all depends where you take it.
I was going to get my toza regod in Canberra but they wanted
me to engineer my supra 5 speed what a joke but they would
let me leave edelbrook manifold an 600 holley on.But there was
no way i was doin that so back to NSW to meet ADR an put a
standard manifold on an rochester also 13 inch rims an a few other
little things horn, oil leaks an it was of to my local blueslip dude an to
my surprize the only thing it failed was brake lights so a quick fiddle
with the wires an it was fixed an to top it off he could not have done
a more basic test on the car he did not step one foot in car wrote all
me numbers down off engine an chasis lights work blinkers work an
took him around the block to jump on the skids all done passed ive
had more trouble getting a pink slip on me 02 vx commodore.I wont
mention names but if anyone wanna now a trouble free blue or pink slip
pm me its in the campbelltown area.
I also told him the trouble ive gone to doin manifold/carbie an tyres an
he said he still wouldv passed it knowing that it would be change back
before the days end as it was.
I WAS VERY LUCKY TO FIND HIM I KNOW
