Im fairly close to finishing the LS conversion (long journey) and looking for any info on radiator hoses.

My radiator has the top house outlet on the driver's side, lower outlet on the passenger side.

Is there a hose from another vehicle that fits or is close to fiiting and cut be trimmed to suit?

Thanks in advance

Not sure if anything off the shelf, others may know. But a good looking alternative is to get thin wall (sched 10) stainless steel pipe sections bent up to suit and use short straight hose sections at the ends to attach to pump and radiator etc. Need to ensure that the pipe also has the bump put in it to properly retain the hose and clamp on the pipe.

Thanks for that.

Im trying to keep away from the cut and shut hose if I can (Top hose especially)

Ive seen a few pics of Torana's that look like they are running a similar hose to factory VX/VY hose (maybe cut down) Hoping someone here can confirm it.

Yes please. From pics the top hose may be a little long "across" the radiator to fit the Torana but would be good to check.

Thanks

Mine is the opposite, top hose on passenger side and lower hose driver's

Also I have a straight neck on the outlet from the thermostat housing on driver's side instead of the Commodore neck that points to the chassis rail

I bent a piece of wire roughly the shape I wanted and rummaged through the radiator hose shelf st supercheap until I found something suitable

I run VY hoses

Top hose is cut to fit a joiner with a gauge port of which i plumbed the steam lines to

Bottom hoses (2 piece) are just shortened and using a VY crossover pipe

If you don't want to cut and shunt the top hose you'll need to have your radiator modified to have a port for the steam lines

Thanks for that.

I'll buy a set of VY hoses and run from there.

Cheers

I used the sunbird hoses from Mackay Ch1015 for the bottom and top Ch1016. Near perfect for my set up. I did put a bleeder (similar to those inline temp gauge adaptor) in the top hose which made it 20mm longer.

The bottom hose was like it was made for it.
