Hi Everyone
Is there any way to make the new Rare Spares Rubber Door Seals softer.
Have fitted on all the doors but you have to slam the doors to make them close flush with the car.
Now the door rubbers are falling off the clips as well.
Have tried the rubber softener in the spray pack but that doesn't do stuff all besides make them slippery

Must be the wrong size or design type, cant get any others? I know some are like a loop, others like a leaf...?

How old are the seals
And are your doors adjusted properly ?

Go back to rare spares and say what the.... let them explain. Bet they not cheap.

I hate to say it but unless your doors are misaligned I’d say the rubbers have been fitted backwards. I’ve just fitted all new rubbers from Rares and they are perfect, although I did fit one backwards and had to slam the door pretty bad to shit it. Sorted now though. Rares rubbers are a million times better than they used to be.

I finally got to do a trial fit on my doors with the rubbers I bought back in 2018 from rare spares and they don’t fit ! The first pin from the top window corner where the rubber is joined is 3cm from the join . The holes in both directions on the door are 5cm . Found my 30 year old rares rubber and it’s 5cm . So somehow both my left and right door rubbers have the first pin in the wrong spot but every pin after that is spaced correctly from the first pin so they are all wrong . I’ve emailed rare spares to see what they say . I checked with the Sydney store and they confirmed the ones in stock are 5cm

I ran into the same issue. There was a batch that was made wrong. I brought them back to the Roxburgh Park store and after they confirmed the issue with rare spares they swapped them over for correctly made ones.

After many wasted calls to rares head office with no call backs . Decided to message them on FB again took a few attempts but finally a Dave from the Bayswater store calls me and said no problems take them to the Sydney store and they will swap them over for you .Did that today and have some new ones that actually fit . Only problem is the store is an hours drive each way
