I am due for a new grease gun. My old one leaked grease from every where.

Any suggestions as to a good leak free gun.

Thanks Glen

Recently got a Macnaught, like this one but an earlier version. Everything can be pulled apart and fixed if required rather than tossed away.

I use a cordless for my machines. The excavator takes 1 1/2 cartridges every day. But for the workshop I use both a McNaught and an Alemlube. They will both leak from the cartridge holder if left in a hot shed for weeks on end. This is just a product of the grease turning liquid and can't be helped. The hose ends on both are good if held straight on to the nipple, however I reckon the McNaught can handle more pressure.

I will see your foot operated grease gun, and raise you a Caterpillar tub with crank handle. It came with our 1942 D2. The photo is of a 1950's version. I can't be bothered going up the shed to take a photo of mine. :)

Try someone like John Deere, their grease guns used a slightly smaller cartridge.

Cheers Tony, I'll keep that in mind.
