Well, as some of you may know, the Hatch has been my daily ride to work, shopping, pick up the kids and weekend cruiser for the last 3 1/2 years.

Well, Sunday 27th August 2006 saw her last blast with my hands at the wheel.
I packed the Family in (minus knoath jnr markII) and headed off for a mystery destination.... it wasn't where we were going, just the fact we'd get one last Sunday arvo drive.

I managed to get some video footage of the cruise and some pics too, so I'll post the pix.

I'm sad to see her go after doing more to this car with my own hands than any other car I've owned, and I must say a lot of that has to do with the advice given by many forum members.
Thank you everyone for the input over the last couple of years that I have been lucky enough to use this forum.

This sounds like I'm signing off, but i can assure you that it's just the end of one chapter.... I have a 4dr to play with now, so let it all continue!!!!

Here's some pix from my last little cruise with the Hatch.

Of course RpM, I wasn't gunna sell her to some bguckwit 18 yr old with no idea about the heritage and history of Toranas, just so he could wrap it round the first tree he sees!!!

Although, I coulda got a bit more cash that way....but no, she's off to a very good home.

That was a good speech richard! Brought a tear to my eyes... I almost felt as though you were losing the most treasured part of your life, and that made me feel like i was too... Its a sad moment that only a Toohey's Extra Dry can fix...

I'll work on my 253 and think of your torry each and every time i do...

Cheers
Keith

Great shots mate! Very cool that you went on a bit of a farewell cruise

I am just very glad to hear the beast is going to a good home, are we likely to see it around in the future?

And I'm sure this is only the end of Chapter 1.... with Chapter 2 coming along nicely... I can't wait to see Chapter 28 or so.... Mmmmmm blown big block 7 second Torana perhaps...... :D

Sad day mate, as you said it's always sad to see your pride an joy go! BUT as you said, its the closing of one chapter and onto another!

Thanks Tiny.... gee, that gives me only 6yrs to get another hatch!
I bet that'll fly by!!

I don't think Mrs knoath would stand for 26 more chapters in such a short time as LXCHEV has achieved....that WOULD be grounds for divorce!!!! :furious: <<mrs knoath!!

Gotta get the Ugly C**t looking the goods.... was busy running around quoting this and that yesterday....can't wait for those rims to come in!!

Oh boy, here we go again!! :spoton:

Love it.

PS. Agree on the Tooheys too.... bleeerrrrrr!!!!

Oh and by the way, I would only rate my car as about Chapter 4 at the moment... if I have my way, things will get exciting around Chapter 10 or so! :)

Thanks Keith1962,
makka, I don't know if the new owner wants it made public knowledge or not, so out of respect to him, I'd rather not say.
He's a very busy bloke and so I don't know how often he can get on the forum... he said it was pure luck that he was on when he was and saw the ad.
