Pulled eng/auto out of wagon, eng had 11wt numbers so I thought it was trimatic until I checked bolt pattern was th like my other engine with th700.
Problem is that the m20/trimatic yoke is nearly half the size of the output shaft which makes me think it's a th400,also has a plug n/s rear of auto pointing outwards which I was told is th400 when the smaller box has plug pointing upwards.
How do I tell a th350 from a th400?
Can you tell by the output shaft& slip yoke?
Th400 or Th350

M20 --> TH350 are the same yoke Diameters (at least mine was).
The Turbo boxes come in different lengths AFAIK, but I don't think these affect the input diameter.

turbo 400 and 350 have different shape sumps too i think the 350 is square with one corner cut off (if thats how to explain it) and the 400 is square with a bit that juts out the side abit and from memory i think the rear housing on the400 is fat and short and the350 is a little longer and narrower. also the 400 is heeeeeps heavier. i have a 400 in the shed ill have a look. cheers wayne
