Hi Guys,
Pulling the bearings off the axles in my 9 inch, and am curious if anyone knows what they are from
They are Timken U298/U262L.
I assume they are a Ford bearing, but can't find much info online.
Anyone able to shed some light?
Cheers
Dave

U298 are standard Holden (HQ to WB), Torana (LH to UC) & Commodore tapered rear wheel bearings. Ford & Valiant also used these from around 1971 onwards.
Ford 9-inch diffs never had these from the factory. I'd say this diff has been custom made.

OK thanks Terry, the diff has holden ends but wasn't sure if the bearings were stock or now.
That helps a lot!
